Even the highest quality laser scanner optics can encounter environmental situations which result in small errors in the data collection, creating areas of “noise” that reduce the quality and resolution of the image. Pointstream is a specialized application for processing point cloud data captured using 3D imaging systems. Pointstream’s patented algorithms detect these errors, rebuilding the affected data points within the data cloud to its original location, producing a high resolution accurate data set.
